Travelling to Jindabyne
By Car:
Sydney to Jindabyne 476kms.
Melbourne to Jindabyne 682kms (via Alpine Way).
Canberra to Jindabyne 1 67kms.
Cooma to Jindabyne 60kms.
By Coach:
Coaches depart from Sydney, Brisbane & Canberra for Jindabyne and the resorts —
enquire about rates.
By Air:
Fly into Canberra or Cooma Airport. Transfers available from both airports — enquire
about rates.
Rental Cars are also available from both airports.
Travelling to the Snowfields
Jindabyne to Thredbo 36kms (via Alpine Way).
Jindabyne to Perisher 35kms (via Kosciuszko
Road).
Jindabyne to Skitube - Bullocks Flat Station 20kms (via Alpine Way).
Kosciuszko National Park
Entry permits are required for all vehicles at Park Entry Gates. Rates for cars are
$15 per day
or $80 for an annual pass - the fee is payable for every day spent in the park. Snow chains are
required to be carried in all 2 and 4 wheel drive vehicles within the National Park. Vehicles
travelling between Thredbo National Park entrance and Thredbo Village are exempt.
Parking in the Resorts
Thredbo
Day and overnight parking is available in Thredbo — free of charge. Perisher & Smiggins
Day parking is available at Perisher and Smiggin Holes — free of charge. There is NO overnight
parking available at Perisher or Smiggin Holes (limited overnight parking is available only at
specific accommodation houses). Overnight and long-term parking is available at the Skitube
Station at Bullocks Flat which is located outside the National Park entry gates — free of charge.
The Skitube provides transfers to Perisher Valley at an extra cost. Oversnow transport is then
available at Perisher Valley Skitube Station for transfers to accommodation houses at an extra
cost (some accommodation houses provide courtesy oversnow transport — enquire with your
consultant). A courtesy shuttle bus operates between Perisher and Smiggins daily until 6pm.
Alternatively, parking is available at Sawpit Creek in the National Park midway between
Jindabyne and Perisher — free of charge. A shuttle bus service is then available for transfers to
Smiggins or Perisher - limited times and at an extra cost.

BULLER
Getting there
By road:
From Melbourne’s north and west, take
the Hume Highway to Tallarook, then head for Yea
and Mansfield. From the south and east, head to Yea
via Yarra Glen, then Mansfield and on to Mt Buller.
Travelling from interstate, head for Benalla on the
Hume Highway then turn for Mansfield.
By coach: A daily coach service runs during
winter.
By air:
Mt Buller is the closest resort to
Melbourne Airport. In winter there are airport
coach connections for Mt Buller. Helicopter
transport is also an option.
On the mountain
Oversnow transport delivers overnight guests and
their luggage from mountain car parks to village
accommodation. Day skiers and snowboarders can
park and then ride the Horse Hill Chair straight to
the slopes. A free shuttle operates to the village for
passengers without luggage.
Equipment hire and ticket sales are available for
day visitors at Horse Hill or in the Village Centre,
which has good day visitor facilities. Food outlets,
cafes and bars are scattered throughout the village
and on the mountain.
Mt Buller has fantastic on-slope facilities including a
Terrain Park, Rail Park, Half Pipe and two Snow
Tubing Parks. Snow tubing is FREE with a valid
sightseeing or lift pass.
FALLS CREEK
Getting there
By road:
Take the Hume Highway from
Melbourne, the Snow Road through Milawa to
Myrtleford and a few kilometres on, at Ovens, turn
left, head for the Kiewa Valley, then go through Mt
Beauty and on to Falls Creek.
From the north, head to Wodonga, then along the
Kiewa Valley Highway to Mt Beauty.
By coach: Pyles Coach Service runs daily services
during winter from Melbourne,Albury or
Mt Beauty.
By air: QantasLink and Regional Express run
regular services to Albury Airport connecting with
Pyles Coach Service to Falls Creek.
On the mountain
An oversnow service is available for transfers to your
accommodation and a free shuttle makes the
connection from overnight car parks to the oversnow
terminal. Day skiers and boarders can park near the
Bilia Bullet or Gully chairlifts where day shelter and ski
hire facilities are also located.
Restaurants and cafes are spread around the village
and on the mountain, good day visitor facilities are also
available at Windy Corner near the cross country trails.
MOUNT HOTHAM
Getting there
By road:
Take the Hume Highway from
Melbourne, the Snow Road through Milawa and
then the Great Alpine Road through Bright and
Harrietville.
An alternative is to take the Princes Highway
through Gippsland. At Bairnsdale, head for Omeo
and then Hotham.
From the north, head to Wodonga, then
Yackandandah and join the Great Alpine Road at
Myrtleford.
By coach: Daily Trekset service from Melbourne
and Melbourne Airport, tel: 1 800 659 009.
Coach transfers (and car parking) also available
with Hoys in Harrietville.
By air: With its own airport, Hotham is one of
Australia’s most easily accessed mountain resorts.

On the mountain
Overnight guests can unload near their
accommodation, then park in one of the overnight
car parks.The day car park is well-located; just over
the road from the Hotham Central lift ticket and
ski hire building. Snacks and rest rooms are also
available in this area. Restaurants and cafes provide
for fine dining through to fast food options for
hungry skiers.
Other activities
Night skiing on the Big D, an extensive network of
cross country trails around Hotham and into the
Alpine National Park and tobogganing slopes within
the resort add to the variety at Hotham.
